Liposuction

Liposuction is also known as lipoplasty and removes excess fat deposits from targeted areas of the body. Liposuction can be performed in the waist, thighs, ankles, arms, legs, hips, knees, back, and other areas.

During liposuction, small incisions are made in the area being treated. A small tube is inserted into the incisions to loosen the fat. After the fat is loosened, it is suctioned out using a vacuum attached to the tube. After the procedure, the body should have a nicer contour. If weight is maintained, results are permanent.
