Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasties, or nose jobs, are performed to either enhance the shape of the nose or correct breathing problems. Rhinoplasty can change the width of the nose, size of the nose, size and shape of the nasal tip, size or shape of nostrils, and more.
Rhinoplasties are either a closed procedure or an open procedure. In a closed procedure, incisions are hidden inside the nose. In an open procedure, an incision is made across the tissue between the nostrils. After incisions are made, the tissue covering the nose is lifted and the shape of the nose can be reshaped.
Tubes and splints support the nose as it heals. While most swelling subsides within a few weeks, it can take up to one year for your nose to move to its permanent shape.
